| PURPOSE
|
The Asset Development Advisory Council plans and implements programs that help enhance, maintain, and preserve the characteristics of the Route 6 Corridor in Pennsylvania.
|
DUTIES
|
Develop and implement a PA Route 6 Asset Development Program and Annual Work Plans to address: - physical improvements - education - interpretation - business development
|
| WHO CAN SERVE:
|
Any member of the PA Route 6 Alliance in good standing. Meetings are held via conference call using a toll free number. Meeting are scheduled as needed.

DESCRIPTION:

| Artisan Trail Committee:
|
The Artisan Trail Committee plans and implements the Artisan Trail 5 Year Plan: including technical assistance, education information, networking opportunities, production of an annual Trail guide, maintenance of Artisan Trail section of website, liaison with state efforts and marketing opportunities.

| Heritage Communities Program Committee:
|
The Heritage Communities Program plans and implements the Heritage Communities Program ensuring that designated Heritage Communities are implementing their WorkPlans, developing corridor-wide programs to assist those communities, networking and cross promoting the communities and providing funding information.
|
| Education Committee
|
The Education Committee plans, develops and hosts informational sessions to educate communities and businesses on topics that strengthen the Route 6 Corridor: such as hospitality training, environmental concerns, business development, and trends.

| Tourism Infrastructure Committee
|
The Tourism Infrastructure Committee plans programs that benefit the physical aspects of the highway including the mile marker system, signage, and visitor centers |
| Business Development Committee
|
The Development Committee focuses on the development and maintenance of heritage-tourism businesses along the Corridor. Including implementation of the Business Opportunity Plan and the creation of new incentive programs furthering heritage tourism development.

| Interpretative Committee
|
The Interpretive Committee Develops and maintains the Route 6 Interpretive Plan by identifying and refining themes and stories of the Route 6 Corridor.
