PA Grand Canyon Marathon

Abbey Attire: The Fashions of Downton Abbey
Are you a fan of the hit show Downton Abbey? The museum has an extensive clothing collection and within it, many items from the "Downton Era" (1890 - 1920's.) We would love to share them with you! Murder Mystery Dinner/Train Rides: "Slay 'em Again Sam"
You and your group are in the audience at DiPlace for Murder theatre, attending their "Dinner with the Detectives" series, a murder mystery show where you dine with the world's greatest literary detectives while they solve the murder of their mysterious host. When a "real" dead body is discovered in the theatre's kitchen, the evening takes on an edgy twist as the actors try to unravel the dastardly plot going on behind the scenes. Unfortunately, one of them is planning an encore that will drop the curtain early on someone's life. A Downton Concert at the Baldwin-Reynolds House Museum
Families like those in "Downton" entertained themselves and others through means other than television and radio. Just like the concert to entertain the troops during World War I seen on season 2 of Downton Abbey, we will be presenting a concert of "Downton Era" music in the library. Local singers will be entertaining just as the Crawley sisters did with our recently repaired Chickering Square Grand Piano. Those in attendance will feel transported back in time as they are entertained right alongside WWI troops. Light refreshments will be served.

Fezziwig's Christmas Party - A Christmas Carol
What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to read Charles Dickens' famous book, A Christmas Carol. This holiday season, however, you can do better than just reading it by being transported to the world of Dickens for dinner at the Baldwin-Reynolds House! We will be hosting Mr Fessiwig's annual Christmas Party with a full dinner, good music, and everyone from Scrooge to Bob Cratchit in attendance.

Baldwin-Reynolds House Museum 50th Anniversary Gala
The moment we all have been waiting for has arrived and the museum officially turns 50! Join us for this formal reception to celebrate as Ellie Davies shares her memories of John and Katherine Reynolds from when the museum was still a private residence. Social hour will begin at 6:30 pm with the program following. Tickets are $35 per person and must be purchased in advance. 24th Annual Chicken BBQ & Craft Fair
Each year in the middle of summer, Wesbury pulls together a festival that attracts close to 5,000 visitors. Held on campus, this free event is always the third Sunday of July from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. It includes a Family Fun Zone with games and train rides, outdoor and indoor entertainment, crafters and other vendors, and an Antique and Classic Car Cruise In. In addition, the Sunset Auxiliary holds its annual rummage, book and bake sale. Of course, there are chicken and rib dinners on sale that includes several side dishes and homemade pie or cake.

Garden Party at the Baldwin Reynolds House
Join "our own Lord and Lady Grantham," William and Julia Reynolds at their summer garden party! The Reynolds were host and hostess to some of the most fashionable events in Meadville's history including parties, plays, "tub races" in the pond and more. We will be having a traditional garden party luncheon on the balcony followed by a personal tour and program by our museum director, Joshua Sherretts, on the Reynolds family and their entertaining during the "Downton" era.

S.O.S. Canoe & Kayak Race
Join CARE and Erie Peace & Justice Center for a fun and exciting kayak and canoe race on Conneaut Lake! Come out and spend a day on the water and support a great cause. This family-friendly race is open to all boaters, whether you like to paddle for fun or are a serious competitor, all are welcome. First and Second place winners for each class will be announced at the awards ceremony after the race and each winner will receive a trophy. Proceeds support the ongoing appeal of the air quality permit issued for the proposed tire incinerator.
