US Route 6 was one of the first highways used to move natural resources, people and products across the country. The stories of Route 6 in Pennsylvania stretches back to Pre-Revolutionary War and cover the heydays of the oil, gas, coal, railroading and timber industries. There is also an amazing conservation movement and outdoor recreation story to be told in these mountains. Make sure to explore all of it at one of our Historical/ Heritage Sites or Museums.
